Working Through the Online Component
The online component is divided into nine main sections. On the Course Welcome page, you will find everything that you need to navigate the online component and to complete the course requirements. The Course webpage is also where you will access and complete the Pre-Course Self-Assessment and work through four separate modules. Each module includes an introductory video, readings, and a quiz. In order to proceed through the modules, you must obtain a mark of 70% or higher on the module quiz. You may retake the quiz as many times as you like in order to obtain the required 70%. Once you have completed and passed all four of the module quizzes, you will be required to complete the Post-Course Reflection, review the Case Studies, complete the Case Studies Quiz, and submit the Acknowledgement.
You must complete the online component of the Course at least 7 days before the date scheduled for the classroom component of the Course (the "Due Date"); otherwise, you will not be eligible to attend the classroom component and fulfill your REP requirement.
Your online component Due Date is: 11:59 p.m. on November 7, 2018
The Classroom Component
Classroom Preparation - Case Studies
Upon completion of the Post-Course Reflection, you will have access to the Case Studies. The Case Studies will be the focus of the online classroom component of the Course. You must read the Case Studies and pass the Case Studies Quiz as part of completing the online component of the Course.
Upon successfully completing the online component of the Course by the Due Date (11:59 p.m. on November 7, 2018), you will be eligible to attend the classroom component of the Course and fulfill your REP requirement. You may also want to either print out the Case Studies PDF to bring to class or save it on your mobile device to bring to class.
Confirmation of Completion
Approximately 3-4 days after completion of the classroom portion of the course students will receive by email from UBC a "Completion Letter". This letter will remain in your student records should you need a copy at any time.
