RE-LICENSING EDUCATION PROGRAM (REP)
In accordance with 2-8.1 of the Council Rules, all licensees are required to complete applicable re-licensing education requirements in order to renew their Real Estate Licence.
REP Requirements for License Renewal
Individuals with license expiry dates on or after January 1, 2015 are required to complete one applicable Legal Update Course (during each 2 year registration period) prior to their license expiry date.
If you are licensed to provide more than one service (ie. trading services and strata management services), you are still only required to complete one Legal Update course.
Please note that the Council’s Re-licensing Education Program (REP) requirement is separate and distinct from any educational requirements (PDP) mandated by the various Real Estate Boards throughout the Province.
Four applicable Legal Update courses for Rental and Strata managers are now available on-line. Classroom sessions of the most recent Legal Update courses are generally provided quarterly in Metro Vancouver, less frequently subject to demand in Victoria and Kelowna. If you need to complete your course (i.e. if your license renewal date is) earlier than any upcoming classroom offerings, you will be required to complete the on-line version in order to renew your licence.
The current applicable Courses are:
PAMA also continues to offer two of the original approved courses (see list below) on-line only through UBC Sauder School of Business. These are not valid for re-licensing but still qualify for Real Estate Board PDP:
All PAMA REP courses are also approved for 6 credits each for Real Estate Board PDP
Please note: Agency for Property Managers course is intended for all Property Managers - Commercial, Residential Rental and Strata.
Real Estate E&O Insurance Legal Update for Rental Managers is applicable for both Residential and Commercial managers.
