Presented by John A. Pitre B.A., t.Arch., RRC, RRO

John is founder and owner of Trimstyle Consulting Inc. which has offered Professional Consulting Services
since 2005. The firm is a small service oriented business, specializing in roofing and waterproofing

John has been involved in this industry since 1989, working for a leading membrane and building product
manufacturer until his departure in 2004. Trimstyle has several ongoing relationships with industry
association including IIBEC ( International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants), the RCABC and
BCBEC. His firm is a Professional Member of both IIBEC and BCBEC, and is an Approved Inspection firm
for the RCABC ( Roofing Contractors Association of BC ). Trimstyle undertakes a multitude of Scopes of
Work, but is primarily involved in the Design, Tendering, Field Review and Project Management of a vast
array of re-roofing and waterproofing projects, across a wide spectrum of occupancies. John has reviewed in
excess 2000 project across Canada.

As a member of IIBEC ( formerly RCI ) he has sat on various committees and is past president of the
Western Canada Chapter IIBEC ( 2011 and 2012 ). He has also participated on multiple RCABC
committees and is a past Board of Director member. His industry involvement has helped promote Trimstyle
to senior firm status, with the aspirations of elevating the educational and professional standards for the
industry as a whole.

Pitre holds separate degrees in Architectural Technology ( Vanier – 3 year program ) and a Bachelors in
Economics from Concordia. He obtained the coveted Registered Roof Consultant ( RRC ) designation in
2006 and his Registered Roof Observer ( RRO ) in 1998.
