We have ambitious GHG reduction targets for our portfolio, and we have developed a roadmap to get there.

Energy efficiency, electrification, and other GHG emissions reduction projects are essential to reach our goal but can be financially challenging. We have collaborated with BC Hydro and Fortis BC on many projects to access funding through one of their financial incentive programs that help reduce the capital cost and paybacks of energy efficiency and electrification projects.

The presenters from Concert Properties, BC Hydro and Fortis BC will discuss incentive programs currently available in BC and some of Concert’s projects that received funding.

Leo Glaser – Manager, Environmental Sustainability CONCERT PROPERTIES
Leo is the Manager, Environmental Sustainability at Concert Properties, and leads the GHG emission reduction strategy and energy conservation projects of Concert's commercial real estate portfolio. In addition to managing energy efficiency and electrification projects, he has collaborated with many building energy benchmarking initiatives across Canada. Leo is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC).

Elin Aasen – Sector Lead, Key Account Management
BC HYDRO
Elin Aasen works at BC Hydro as the Sector Lead for the Commercial Key Account Managers and lives in Langley, B.C. Her team works closely with BC Hydro’s largest customers to provide exemplary customer service, and to identify and deliver customer projects for conservation, low carbon electrification and load growth. She received her BSc from the University of British Columbia and is also a Certified Energy Manager.

Mel Tugade – Energy Solutions Manager
FORTIS BC
As an Energy Solutions Manager, Mel looks after small to medium size commercial accounts, including new construction and retrofits on both the FortisBC commercial prescriptive rebates and custom design programs. His territory includes Vancouver lower mainland, Burnaby, North & West Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler.
